Title : Integration E-mobility with Smart Grid
Abstract :

As an important part of smart grid, Electric Vehicle (EV)has been paid much more attention recently.And nowadays, deemed to be apossible solution to the air pollution in big cities of China, more and more EVsare now on the way under national prop up policies.Power utility will be faced with bigchallenges not only in the planning but also in the daily operation,so it should be carefully reconstructed and optimized to accommodate this rapidly changing. In this speech, some topics on integration of EVs to power grid are discussed, such as EV modelling, infrastructure planning, control strategy optimization, et al. And, some cooperationresearchesunder supports of NSFC and EPSRC are reported.

Biography :

Dr. Hongjie Jia  was born in Heibei, China. He received his BSc., MSc. and Ph.D in 1996, 1999 and 2001 respectively from Tianjin University. His doctor thesis was awarded as the National Excellent Doctoral Dissertation of P.R.China in 2004. He was selected into New Century Excellent Talents by the Chinese Ministry of Education in 2005, Excellent Young Scientist of Tianjinin 2008, Excellent Post Doctor of Tianjin in 2009, 54 Medal of Tianjin Youth in 2009 and Peiyang Youth Scholar of Tianjin University in 2012. He became a member of All-China Youth Federation (ACYF) in 2010 and was selected into ‘131’Innovative Talents of Tianjin Municipal in 2011. He became an Associate Professor of Tianjin University in 2002 and was promoted to Professor in 2006. From 2010, he became the dean of school of electrical engineering and automation in Tianjin University. His research interests include power system stability assessment, protection and control, distribution network planning and automation, distributed generation and renewable energy, integrated energy systems etc. He is principal investigator of more than 20 projects and he has published more than 150 journal papers or conference papers in the above fields.
